Our process

No surprises.
Start to finish.

A roof is a big decision, and the worst part of most projects is not knowing what’s happening. With us you’ll know exactly what’s going on every step of the way — who’s coming, what it costs, and what we find once the old roof comes off.

Every job is permitted, photo-documented, and backed in writing — the same way, every time.

What no surprises actually means

Transparency isn't a slogan here. It's how the job is run.

Plenty of roofers say “no surprises.” Here’s what it looks like in practice — three things you get on every Paramount job, not just the ones that go perfectly.

A name and a number

You meet your project manager up front and have a direct line the whole way through. No call-center runaround when you have a question.

Everything in writing

A line-item estimate before we start, photos as we go, and your warranties registered and delivered at the end. Nothing handshake-only.

No work you didn't approve

If we find something the inspection couldn't see, we stop and show you before doing anything. The price is set in advance, so a surprise never becomes a surprise bill.

Step by step

Six steps, in order.

From the first inspection to the warranty in your inbox, every job runs the same six steps — so you always know what just happened, what’s next, and why.

When the unexpected shows up

The honest part most roofers skip.

If we find a surprise

Once an old roof comes off, we sometimes find things that were invisible during inspection — a hidden second layer, rotted decking, a low skylight curb. When that happens, we stop, document it with photos, and explain it before doing the work. Extra layers are $0.50/sq ft, replacement decking is $75/sheet, and nothing extra happens without your approval. That's the whole philosophy: transparency and honest communication, every time.

A permit on every job

New Mexico law requires a permit and a final inspection on every reroof. A lot of contractors skip it. We don't — we pull a building permit on every job, no exceptions. That permit protects your insurance coverage, your home's resale value, and you.

On install day

What it’s like with us on your roof.

The day the crew shows up is the part homeowners ask about most. Here’s what to expect — and what you don’t have to worry about.

01

You don't have to be home

The work happens on the roof, not inside. Most homeowners go about their day or head to work — your project manager keeps you posted and you approve anything that comes up by phone.

02

Your yard is protected

We tarp landscaping and cover what needs covering before the tear-off starts, so falling debris lands on protection, not on your plants or patio.

03

Cleaned up every day

The site is cleaned and debris hauled off daily — not left in a pile until the end. At completion we run a magnet sweep for stray nails.

04

A walkthrough before we leave

Your project manager inspects the finished roof with you and answers anything left over. Final payment comes after that walkthrough, not before.

In their words

Professional and proficient. We have now used Paramount a couple of times. They are quick to schedule the estimation, which comes with photos and a complete explanation of their findings.

Questions

Common questions about how we work.

How long does a new roof take?
Most residential reroofs are done in a few days, depending on the size of the roof, the system, and the weather. We give you a realistic schedule in your written estimate so you can plan around it — and we tell you if weather pushes a day.
Do I need to be home while you work?
No. The work is on the roof, not inside your home, so you don't need to take a day off. Your project manager keeps you updated, and anything that needs a decision gets explained and approved by phone before we proceed.
How is payment structured?
A 50% deposit schedules your project and buys your materials, which are staged before we start. The remaining balance is due at completion, after you and your project manager walk the finished roof together. Warranties are registered once final payment is received.
What happens if you find rot or damage after the tear-off?
We stop, photograph it, and explain it before doing any extra work. Replacement decking runs $75 a sheet, and if we find a buried extra layer of old roofing during the tear-off, removing it is $0.50 a square foot. Nothing extra happens without your approval — the prices are set in advance so there's no surprise bill.
Do you pull a permit?
Yes, on every job. New Mexico law requires a permit and a final inspection on every reroof, and a lot of contractors skip it. We don't. That permit protects your insurance coverage and your home's resale value.
What do I get when the job is done?
A finished roof, a documented photo record of the work, and your warranties — the manufacturer's material warranty plus our own 10-year workmanship warranty — registered and delivered to you.
