Insurance Claims & Storm Damage
Storm damage.
Photographed for your claim.
New Mexico hail and wind do real damage — and good documentation is usually what decides whether a claim gets paid or denied. We get on your roof, take dated photos of what the storm did, and hand you the evidence so your claim reflects what actually happened up there.
A free on-roof inspection with dated photos and a written report — no pressure, no obligation to file. The line is answered 24/7 for active leaks.

Right after the storm
Four things to do — before you do anything else.
The hours after a hailstorm decide a lot. A few simple moves protect your claim and keep you out of a storm-chaser’s contract.
Photograph the damage before anything is touched
Take dated pictures of dents, missing shingles, debris on the ground, and any interior leaks or stains — before a single repair or tarp goes up. Your own photos are the timestamp that backs up everything that follows.
Don't sign with a door-knocker
Storm-chasers swarm a neighborhood after every hailstorm, knocking doors and pushing contracts the same day. Don't sign anything — and never hand over your insurance details — until a licensed, local contractor has actually been on your roof.
Don't wait to file
Most policies require you to report storm damage within a set window — and the longer you wait, the harder it is to tie the damage to the storm. Get your inspection on the calendar now, before that window closes.
Get a tarp on any active leak
If water is coming in, stopping it is the priority — and most policies expect you to prevent further damage. Emergency roof repair is available now to tarp the leak and document it.
Documentation, not guesswork
We make the damage undeniable.
An adjuster can only pay for damage they can see and tie to the storm. Our job is to make sure the real damage is on the record — clearly, with dates — so a legitimate claim doesn’t get shortchanged from the ground. We document and support; you file and stay in control.

Dated, on-roof photos
We get on the roof and photograph every hailstrike, lifted shingle, bruised mat, and damaged flashing — with dates, so there's no question about when it happened.
A written damage report
A clear inspection report your insurer can read — what's damaged, where, and why it's storm-related — so the scope you file matches what's actually up there.
We meet your adjuster on the roof
When the adjuster comes out, we'll be there to walk the same evidence with them, so nothing legitimate gets missed or written off from the ground.
Permitted, warrantied repair
Once the claim is approved, we do the work to the approved scope — permitted, photo-documented, and backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty.
How it works
From storm to settled.
Three steps, and you stay in the driver’s seat the whole way. Paramount is your roofer and your documentation advocate — we are not the adjuster, and we don’t file your claim for you.
01
Free storm-damage inspection
We get on your roof and document everything — hail bruising, wind damage, missing shingles, interior leaks — with dated photos and a written report. If there's no real damage, we'll tell you that honestly, and you've lost nothing.
02
You file — we hand you the evidence
You file the claim and stay in control of it. We give you the inspection report and dated photos your insurer needs, and we'll meet your adjuster on the roof so everyone is looking at the same damage.
03
Approved scope, done right
Once your claim is approved, we do the work to that scope — no upsells, no surprises — fully permitted and backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty. You pay your deductible; your roof gets done right.
About your deductible
You pay your insurance deductible, and we handle the rest with your insurer. We won’t promise to waive, absorb, or “eat” your deductible — that isn’t allowed in New Mexico, and any contractor who offers to is putting you at risk. An honest claim means you pay what your policy says and your roof gets done right.
Lower your premium
A Class 4 roof can cut your insurance bill.
Owens Corning Duration FLEX is a Class 4 (UL 2218) impact-resistant shingle. Besides standing up to New Mexico hail, it may earn you a homeowners-insurance discount — many insurers take 20–30% off the roof portion of your premium for a Class 4 roof. Check with your provider for what your policy allows.
